The “Leadership and Spirituality” Event is Coming Up!

April 8, 2010

You’ve probably noticed that I haven’t made much of a big deal about my upcoming speaking event at Princeton Seminary’s “Leadership and Spirituality: Revealing Your Greater Purpose.” Instead of drawing attention to myself as the much sought-after luncheon guest speaker, I tactfully posted a couple of very compelling articles that politely hinted at the event. No, I did not go all social-media obnoxious with the thing, I just trusted that the right (smart) readers would connect the dots: “Huh. This is great stuff. Hey! I’m a leader, too! Maybe I should be at this event! Plus, I’d ever so much like to meet this Bradley character in person.”

Well, folks, now it’s Go Time.  The big event is this Sunday and Monday, April 11 and 12, at the Erdman Center of Princeton’s Theological Seminary.  I’m not sure what exactly I’ll be speaking on yet at this luncheon event, so, well, pray for me. I think I’ll read a couple of favorite posts from this past year, like When Jesus Was a Consultant, and Everything Looks Like a Failure in the Middle

Or not. We’ll see where the Spirit leads.

Watch for updates on Twitter and maybe even a couple of pics on Facebook!

I just read When Jesus Was a Consultant and I am smiling big. Why do those consultants get such a bad rap?

I’ll pray for your luncheon engagement. I wish I was closer so I could drive by just to meet that Bradley character. I’m sure you will charm everyone with your consultant skills.

Break a leg!And make God smile too 🙂

    Oh, yes!
    It’s the leaderfest!
I’ve been waiting for this all year.
If there’s not going to be any poetry.
There very well better be beer.

Thanks for your encouragement and support, friends. You don’t know how much that means!

Nancy, thanks for the poetry/beer-wishes. Maybe after.

I’m looking forward to whatever it is you’ll be saying up there at lunch on Monday. Wear glasses; I plan to shoot spitballs if you get too evangelical on us.

I’m really looking forward to this event! Thanks again for sharing and publicizing the opportunity!

Not that you necessarily have to include anything about this in your talk, but I am personally attending as somewhat of an “ambassador” for the next generation of students and young professionals who want to serve God with the work that they do. I think it may be important for the other attendees to consider what is the “succession plan” for the ongoing development of spiritual leaders in the marketplace?

God has already given you PLENTY of material for waht to say 😉 so you can hardly go wrong. See you Monday!

I’ll be thinking of you… I loved your reflections from last time.
Looking forward to what you bring away, give, what fills you.
